Must currently be employed by a law enforcement or public safety agency. Prerequisite: Must have successfully completed Traffic Collision Investigation, Intermediate, Advanced, and Reconstruction. An advanced traffic collision investigation course designed to train students on how to determine the speed of vehicles based on damage. The principles of the a, b, & g stiffness coefficients, as well as the energy from crush, utilizing a two-, four-, and six-point crush deformation equation. Topics include: methods and appropriate energy/momentum equations for solving vehicle impact speeds in head-on-collisions.
