Firearms Tactical Rifle Instructor | 11/18/2024 - 11/22/2024

Must be currently employed by a law enforcement agency as a sworn peace officer, proficient with the AR-15 assault rifle (no civilian models). Must have attended an advanced carbine rifle class or attended a SWAT academy. Must have completed a POST certified Firearms Instructor Course (Range Master).

This course is designed to train participants to be Patrol Rifle Instructors (Train the Trainer). It will provide the skills knowledge to teach basic patrol rifle training. Participants will be able to identify, define, and instruct officers on long rifle characteristics. Instruction will include firearm and long rifle knowledge. 

Students will be required to pass a 50-round rifle qualification course.  The qualification shoot shall consist of a static line shoot firing at stationary target from 5, 10, 15, 25 and 50 yards. This course is shot with IRON sights only. A minimum score of 90% of all rounds must be in the bottle and 100% of all rounds must be on the target. This shoot is a requirement by P.O.S.T. Participants who fail to qualify the shoot portion will not be allowed to continue with course.

• *300 rounds of duty handgun ammo
• *50 rounds of .38 cal ammo
• *1000 rounds of rifle ammo (.223)
*RSD personnel will be provided ammo

NOTE: Tuition is due 10 days prior to start of class. If payment is not received, you will be dropped from the class. Cancellations made less than 10 days before the first day of class will result in loss of tuition.
