Firearms/Tactical Rifle Advanced (AR-15/M16) | 07/17/2023 - 07/19/2023
Must be currently employed by a law enforcement agency as a sworn peace officer and successfully completed a 16-hour P.O.S.T. certified basic rifle course or equivalent.
This course is designed for sworn law enforcement personnel authorized to carry and utilize carbine rifles while in the performance of their duties. Students must possess a basic proficiency with their weapon prior to attending this course. Topics and practical exercises covered in this course include cover and concealment shooting, moving target drills, transition drills, reloading drills, varied shooting positions, shooting on-the-move, weapons equipment and practical accessories, and a legal and civil overview of lethal force use.Course Hours: 16 Times: 0800-1700 POST Plan: IV Course # 2200-32075
