RSO ONLY Crimes Against Peace Officers (CAPO) | 06/28/2023

Must be currently employed by Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. This course will focus on conducting through and well-documented investigations related to Crimes Against Peace Officers (CAPO) that are not investigated by the Force Investigation Detail Unit (FID). The Course will introduce various topics to include the effectiveness of Body Worn Camera Systems, documentation guidelines, and how to minimize exposure to civil liabilities. The intent of this course is to improve the students knowledge as it relates to use-of-force investigations. Furthermore, the course will consist of practical scenarios with tabletop exercises to enable the student to retain and apply the material.
