Current or retired law enforcement public safety, tribal security, service providers and tribal members. This course is designed to educate California law enforcement about state responsibility and criminal jurisdiction on California Indian Reservations. The course will discuss the historical, cultural, and legal aspects of policing Native American communities. The course will familiarize law enforcement officers with Public Law 280, case law, and other investigative resources related to policing Native American communities.
