Welcome to Homeland Security Regional Training Program

The Regional Training Program (RTP) is a collaboration between Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Riverside County Fire/CAL FIRE, Riverside County Department of Public Health, and Riverside County Office of Education.  These agencies work together to develop training courses and programs in a multi-disciplinary, all-hazards approach to homeland security, emergency management and critical incident management.

Training

The Regional Training Program is dedicated to ensuring that Riverside County is prepared to respond to critical incidents, public safety, education, public health, and homeland security. The experts on the RTP team provide specialized courses  to meet the operational training needs of the Riverside County Operational Area (OA) and surrounding counties.

RTP's training serves first responders, county employees and the community, utilizing the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and State Emergency Management System(SEMS). Programs include: general courses, Department of Homeland Security courses, critical incident, tactical and operational skills, technical training, and Train-the-Trainer courses for IS 100, IS 200, IS 300, IS 400 and IS 700.  Courses are held throughout the county year-round.  For information on curriculum, dates and locations, click the Calendar or Registration tabs above.

RTP and RCC have established six core Homeland Security courses with elective classes.  Participants completing the required course work may receive a Homeland Security certificate. Please contact Dr. Sherry Stone or Barbara Williams at Riverside Community College/Moreno Valley Campus/Ben Clark Training Center -  (951) 571-6324 for more information.
